Build your own rugged and heavy duty PostHugger™ Octagon Shaped Pergola with our USA made 1/8″ steel corner brackets– in a Complete Kit for your convenience! Note this is only for the connecting brackets – not any swings, bases, or other hardware – – just the brackets which connect the upright posts to the horizontal beams.
This listing is for a complete set of 4 brackets per upright post (a total of 32 brackets for a Octagon) sized for either 4×4 or 6×6 posts and beams— as follows:
–Eight (8) Steel Outside brackets
–Eight (8) Steel Inside brackets-
–Eight (8) Steel Right-Side Underarm brackets
–Eight (8) Steel Left-Side Underarm brackets
Outside Brackets included in the kit are bent to 45 degrees and bolt to the outside of the top Octagon. Inner Bracket Bends and the Underarm Brackets in the Octagon set each use/create a 22.5° angle. Miter your posts at 22.5 degrees before adding the brackets, and you’re good to go.
Our PostHugger™ design is made even better because we use 1/8″ thick steel! The result: over 4 pounds of steel are used to tie together a single completed corner! And while other manufacturers’ styles fail to attach to the uprights on more than one side, our 20-Piece PostHugger™ Kit bolts onto three sides of each upright!

These are sized for 4×4 posts. We also make them for 6×6 Posts, and we make Hexagons, too!
Our brackets can be installed using any 1/2″ wood lag screws. If you use lag screws, we recommend 1/2″ x a minimum of a 2.5″ long lag bolt, with longer bolts adding more strength. WOOD AND BOLTS/LAG SCREWS ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH OUR BRACKETS; you can pick them up at your local home improvement and hardware stores. Lifestyle customer photos depict build/use variations only.
Also please note that these ship as raw, unpainted steel. You can order them from us with a black powder coat, paint them the color of your choice, finish them with a clear coat, or allow to achieve a natural rust patina over time.
