Will the weedwacker eventually nick up the coating? Maybe, but it will still save your post AND look much better than a post being trimmed down to resemble a pencil tip! And if needed, brackets can be easily touched up over the years with Rustolium or similar product from Home Depot.
This listing is for your choice of a Two-Piece Bracket Set for 4×4 posts (3.5” x 3.5”), a Two-Piece bracket set for 6×6 posts (5.5” x 5.5”), a Two-Piece Bracket Set for 4×6 posts (3.5″ x 5.5″), or a pack of 10 Two-Piece Sets of brackets for the size of your choice. Each set includes brackets which bolt to the outside corners of your mailbox post as shown in the pictures.
NOTE: All our brackets are based on the dimensional size of the lumber but we can make them actual 4″x4″ , 4″x6″, OR 6″x6″ for you if needed. Just let us know your ship-to zip code, the number of brackets and actual size(s) you would like and we can let you know the total cost for custom brackets made to fit your saw-mill-cut posts.
We make these using 1/8” thick steel— a single corner bracket weighs over 2 lbs— so they’re strong enough to take what you throw at them, but not so heavy where they’re hard to work with. And all our PostHugger™ Brackets and metal artwork products are Made in America with American-Made Steel!
