Build your own rugged and heavy duty PostHugger™ Hexagon Shaped Partial or PARTIAL-PERGOLA with our USA made 1/8″ steel corner brackets! Note this is only for the connecting brackets – not any swings, bases, or other hardware – – just the brackets which connect the upright posts to the horizontal beams. Our PostHugger™ design is made even better because we use 1/8″ thick steel! The result: over 10 pounds of steel are used to tie together a single completed corner!

This listing is for a set of 12 brackets for a PARTIAL HEXAGON — for DIYs where you want to make only part of a hexagon with 4 legs instead of typical 6 legs for a complete hexagon, similar to the photo here of a customer build. Each Kit includes a complete set of the following sized for your 4×4 wood posts:
— Two Steel Outside Top brackets
— Two Steel Left-Side bent brackets
— Two Steel Right-Side bent brackets
— Two Steel Inside brackets, and
— Four Steel Flat L’s (if you prefer four Flat T’s, just let us know by leaving a message in the checkout notes);
ASSEMBLY: Your two inside posts will use four brackets each at the top (outside top, left-bent, right-bent, and an inside bracket). Your two outside posts will use two Flat L’s each — one for the inside and one for the outside. If using 6×6 posts, the holes line up on the Flat L’s so you may bolt all the way through if you like and make a steel/post/steel sandwich.
Our PostHugger™ design is made even better because we use 1/8″ thick steel! The result: over 10 pounds of steel are used to tie together a single completed corner for a 6×6 post!
Our brackets can be installed using any 1/2″ wood lag screws or 1/2″ thru bolts or the Simpson Outdoor Accetnts Screw/Nut combos. If you use lag screws, we recommend at least 1/2″ x 2″ length. WOOD AND BOLTS/LAG SCREWS ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH OUR BRACKETS; you can pick them up at your local home improvement and hardware stores. Lifestyle customer photos depict build/use variations only.

Please note that these ship as raw, unpainted steel. You can order them from us with a black powder coat, paint them the color of your choice, finish them with a clear coat, or allow to achieve a natural rust patina over time.
